We offer two fully furnished cottages on 250 feet of beautiful waterfront on Steenburg Lake. The property is on a private bay with many trees. Plenty of shade to keep cool, or head by the water to sun yourself on the dock. The lake has a shallow, gradual entry from the shore, or swim right off your very own dock. If you like walking around in the water, you will enjoy the weed free lake. Good fishing for Sunfish, Rock, Small and Large Mouth Bass and stocked with Splake. Rent both cottages to share with 2 or 3 families, or just one - whatever suits your family needs! The two cottages are about 60 feet apart at the roadside, but are much more secluded on the lakeside - separated by a small forest, each with their own private dock on 125' of water frontage and their own swim raft. Our 12' rowboats can accommodate a small outboard motor, otherwise if you have your own boat, there is a boat launch at Steenburg Lake Marina. An extensive network of multi-use trails starts less than 5 minutes away (ATV, Hiking, Biking, etc). There is a nearby general store - Trudy’s - 5 minutes away that includes fresh baking, gas, and LCBO. Bancroft is 25 minutes to the North where amenities include: LCBO, The Beer Store, Canadian Tire, Foodland (new and 24hr), No Frills, Subway, McDonald’s, Pizza Pizza, Shoppers Drug Mart, quaint shops and a Hospital. The closest large city is Belleville, 60 minutes South.
You will find a great sunset view, great swimming, and great fishing at our cottages. We have tried to supply you with every possible indoor and outdoor activity to keep you busy - if you want to be busy. From rowboats to canoes to paddle boats and kayaks to swim rafts and docks and fishing poles - we have the water sports covered. We have a selection of outdoor games - your own sand badminton court, Ladder Ball, Corn Hole, sandpits with toys - there is no limit to the outdoor fun you can have. If you would rather just relax outside, our lounge chairs and selection of novels and magazines will satisfy your 'relaxational needs'. On the occasional wet day, our cottages have 50 inch Internet TVs with on demand viewing and 10,000 channels and dozens of VHS movies. We added Internet in 2020 and get 50 Mbps with Bell. Limitless puzzles and games will keep everyone entertained until the sun comes out again! And speaking of sun - our waterfront is directly facing West - so if you love afternoon sun and beautiful sunsets, you will be impressed! Check out our many photos!

There is a small rate adjustment this year.
We know that our rates are low. A quick google search around the lake will quickly confirm - and to be honest, many cottages have hidden fees - pet fee, firewood fee, cleaning fee - we are not a big fan of any extra fees. But do other cottages have a ninety some percent returning guest rate? I have my doubts. But I don't think that it's just the rates that keep guests coming back - finding a family cottage is a challenging experience! Once people find something they like they tend to stick with it.
