We like to let previous guests have the first chance to come back next year.  If guests wish to return for their same week the following year, all they need to do is send us an email by October 1st to reserve their week.  A $250. deposit is required at that time.  Sometimes our guests would prefer to try the other cottage or a different week, and we are usually able to accommodate changes. 

Rentals are in 1 week intervals - Check in is Saturday after 4 pm, and check out is Saturday by 12 noon.  *Please respect this checkout time so that our cleaners are able to do their job.  Cottages are cleaned during this time - due to some issues in 2015 there are photos on the fridge in the cottage  that show how the cottage should look inside and out at the start and end of your visit.  This will leave more time for our cleaners to actually clean. Your $500. security deposit will be refunded after our cleaners verify 'reasonable' use. After we have confirmed potential availability, we will email you a pdf copy of our rental agreement.  Once you have had a chance to look it over, we can go ahead and create a booking with a deposit.  We will e-mail you a pdf copy of 'ways to make your stay more enjoyable' such as when the local dump / recycle depot is open (FYI - it is less than 10 minutes away and open Saturday morning and we supply you with 2 garbage tags and recycle boxes - orange garbage bag tags are not required if you take recycle - you get to dump 1 bag of garbage without a tag for every bin of recycle that you bring).  A print copy is available at the cottage.  We will also email you a pdf of directions to the cottage, and a pdf with the code to open the realtor style lock box that holds the cottage keys. Our cottages do not have 'land' telephone lines, but cell/smart phone coverage is available.  Texting is great and our iPhone has from 2 to 4 bars depending on where you stand and time of day.  Rogers customers do complain that they get less of a signal in cottage country.  Now that we have Internet available to you, this is even easier.

□    Housekeeping before your visit

□    A full kitchen - stove, microwave, kettle, toaster, blender, coffee maker, all dishes and cutlery, water cooler, propane BBQ (propane supplied) 

□    Indoor Entertainment - 50 " Android TV,  VCR (many movies to choose from), satellite, variety of indoor board games, window air conditioner,  electric fans in every bedroom, Internet Wi-Fi.

□    Outdoor Entertainment - deck and patio furniture,  screened in gazebo, canoes, 12 ‘ row boat, paddle boat, kayaks, life jackets, dock, swim raft, free wood for wood stove and fire pit (within reason), and outdoor games including private badminton court, sand pit and sand toys. 

□  Clean towels in kitchen and washroom (1 dishcloth, 2 tea towels, 1 hand towel) 

□  Pillows and comforters

We have an issue with variety stores that charge a ridiculous price for a small bag of firewood.  Wood will always be free, assuming that you will use a respectful amount of it and keep your fire to a safe size - below 1 meter is the township bylaw and after 7pm.  There are always extra propane containers in case you run out.  We won't leave you stranded!

□    Bottle of Drinking Water to fit in a Water Cooler - blue 18 L (cottage plumbing uses lake water) - can be purchased 5 minutes away at St. Ola's Station or The Rustic Roadhouse - if you are tight for room in your vehicle, just get one here and pay the deposit and get your $10. deposit back at the end of your stay - a typical family of four uses two or three of these 18 L bottles in a week - or you can buy a 15 L green recyclable jug of water at most grocery stores.  There is a free water refill station in Bancroft at Millennium Park that supplies municipally treated water.

□    Bed sheets, pillow cases, beach and shower towels, face cloths, toilet paper, paper towels 

□    A neat and swept cottage with clean (and dry) dishes at the end of your stay

Check in is Saturday after 4pm, Check out is Saturday by 12 noon. Cottages are professionally cleaned during this time. Cottages (inside and outside) should be tidied (everything put back where you found it) and swept before you leave. Keys must be returned to the realtor style lockbox located on the front door of the cottage, or a $100. fee will apply. 

• Your week is booked with a deposit of $250. and a signed Cottage Rental Agreement 

• Balance of $1750. is due on/before June 25 with Security Deposit (see below)

• Full refunds will be given on/before January 1.  After January 1, refunds may be given if the cottage gets rented out (minus a management fee of $100.) - this is easier to do with more notice 

• Security deposit of $500. cheque is also due June 25 (but can be dated for the week of the rental) with a Self- Addressed Stamped Envelope and will be destroyed after our cleaners have verified that there are no damages / no missing items / no excessive cleaning required
